Deltec Alliance Awarded BEPPS Contract by British Nuclear Group
31 May 2007

John Moores and Ronak Pandya, members of the BEPPS team at INS
THE DELTEC Alliance, which is led by INS plc, has been awarded a contract to design a new import and export facility at Sellafield’s Box Encapsulation Plant Product Store (BEPPS).
British Nuclear Group’s multi-disciplinary design contract for this new Comprehensive Import Export Facility (CIEF) is strategically important. This is because it will enable the BEPPS to operate independently by September 2013, when it will play a vital role in supporting the storage of waste retrieved as part of the Legacy Ponds and Silos Project. In the future, the new CIEF will be capable of supporting three new stores.
Tony Moore, INS’s MD commented: “This contract was won against stiff competition and required an innovative approach, owing to both the demanding technical criteria and the very short completion deadline of July of this year. Once again, we are responsible for the co-ordination of a large multi-discipline, co-located team including British Nuclear Group personnel and Deltec members: DGP International, Alpha and Morson’s.”
Notes
International Nuclear Solutions’ areas of expertise include waste and nuclear materials handling, processing and storage, including new build facilities where necessary to support the clean-up and decommissioning programme. In addition, the Company provides support for plant asset care and maintenance of redundant facilities.
