Safety Assessments


We have been actively involved with the COSR programme since its inception with the SIXEP project in 1998. Utilising SQEP´d resources from both our Manchester and Sellafield Offices, we have been involved in the production of engineering substantiation presented in the form of Design Assessment Reports (DARs) for approximately 50 plants/buildings on the Sellafield and Chapelcross Sites.  Supported by other members of the Deltec Alliance we provide this valuable service across all functional disciplines and are familiar with the COSR process from the initial desktop safety review, through to implementation of recommendations to deliver a real improvement to plant safety.

Recognising the importance of keeping up to date, we are familiar with the more recent Periodic Safety Review approach to Safety Case Substantiation, which has resulted from analysis of the effectiveness of the COSR process, to deliver a “fit for purpose” Safety Case.
