Environmental Policy
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
It is company policy to supply products and services that add value to the customer’s business, giving due consideration to the environmental impact of our business activities and as a minimum complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and customer requirements that relate to environmental aspects.
In order to support this policy, the business will establish and maintain an Environmental Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.
It is the responsibility of Management to ensure the business fulfils its environmental duties by:
- Complying with the latest relevant legislation.
- Preventing pollution wherever possible and practicable, by the use of economically viable techniques and practices.
- Continual improvement of environmental performance through setting and reviewing quantifiable and measurable environmental objectives.
- The improvement in the management of energy, resources, raw materials and emissions in all activities where economically viable, encouraging suppliers to do likewise.
- Improving the management of waste through minimisation, re-use and recycling.
- Providing appropriate training and development of all persons working for or on behalf of the business to ensure awareness and understanding is achieved.
- Periodically reviewing this policy to ensure it reflects the needs of the business.
